SUPPORT THE LAUNCH OF A NEW K-12 AMERICAN CLASSICAL SCHOOL IN KUNA, IDAHO
About VCA
Valor Classical Academy (VCA) is a tuition-free, K-12 American classical public school slated to open in Kuna, Idaho in 2026. An American Classical School of Idaho member school and Hillsdale supported founding effort, VCA’s mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of students through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility. VCA’s vision is to form future citizens who uphold the ideals of our country’s founding and promote the continuation of our American experiment in liberty. Your support today will help bring this educational institution to the Kuna, South Meridian, and SW Boise communities, and serve as ACSI’s fourth member school.
About The Appeal
The Spirit of ’76 is a fundraising appeal to support Valor Classical Academy, a school dedicated to providing a classical education to Idaho students in Kuna, South Meridian, and SW Boise. The Appeal’s name commemorates the year 1776, when the Declaration of Independence was signed, providing a foundation for the American republic we protect and value today. The school plans to open in 2026 on the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The goal of the appeal is $76,000 — another nod to this important day in history — which will not only support VCA’s mission and vision, but ensure that expenses like uniforms, building supplies, office space, student recruitment, and school leader training are supported. Join us in celebrating the spirit of independence and excellence by contributing to The Spirit of ’76 Appeal today.
NEED AND IMPACT
Contributing to the Spirit of ’76 Appeal will provide critical financial support to defer heavy start-up costs associated with opening an American classical charter school. Additionally, your contribution will allow Valor Classical Academy school leaders to remove barriers to education by establishing a uniform and school supply fund. With your support, VCA can provide a content-rich educational choice for Idaho families. Here are some examples of how your financial contribution can help.
Will you contribute $5000, $1000, $500, $250, $100 or even $10 for the launch of a new American Classical school that forms future citizens?

Classical Curriculum
Valor Classical Academy is dedicated to cultivating knowledgeable and virtuous citizens through a classical education that emphasizes the principles of our nation’s founding. A future American Classical Schools of Idaho (ACSI) member school, Valor Classical Academy will be the first public charter school of its kind in Kuna, with the potential to serve more than 700 students and their families.
DEEPLY ROOTED HISTORY
Honoring the courageous American spirit, Valor Classical Academy is named in recognition of Army SPC John Borbonus, who gave his life in Baghdad, Iraq while serving his country in 2007. SPC Borbonus was posthumously awarded the Silver Star — the nation’s third-highest military decoration for valor in combat.
